GENERAL

★ RESPECT AND FRIENDLY VIBES. This really doesn’t need to be said, as it is obvious and expected. Being respectful, considerate and friendly to everyone is an absolute must. This goes especially for staff who should always be respected and listened to. While it is not possible to become best friends with everyone, we ask that you try your hardest to maintain a polite and friendly air with all members, even those you don’t always agree with. We also ask that you respect and are always open to guests, even if they do not show you the same courtesy.

★ AGE APPROPRIATE CONTENT. This site abides by the Proboards Terms of Service and as such, do not allow any non-age appropriate content to be shown or linked on this site. This is mainly sexual and pornographic content and will not be tolerated. As an added note, we also ban talk of racism, sexism or ageism of any kind, as well as violent religious debates or conversion attempts.

★ DOWNERS AND BAD VIBES. Cliché and obvious. We simply ask that you don’t try to impress negative emotions or such on other members. If you come to the site in a bad mood or with troubles, you are perfectly able to talk about it in the Shout-Box or General Board, but not to the extent where you are depressing everyone around you. Similarly, if you are not being listened to or responded to anywhere in the site, please do not try to pull some ‘Passive Aggressive’ movement and say ’Everyone hates me, I’m leaving!{/i]’ because chances are nobody will try to stop you. Remember that people have lives outside of the internet and it is very likely they are busy, not ignoring you. In the case that this does actually happen, simply contact staff about the problem.

★ SWEARING AND LANGUAGE. Swearing is not banned here, but neither is it encouraged. While you will not be punished for swearing either in or out of character, it is not to be cheered on. We ask that you keep the vulgar language to a minimum, both IC and OOC. Words such as ‘crap’, ‘hell’ and damn are fine, as are abbreviations such as WTH and WTF.

★ ACTIVITY. A site cannot survive without active members, and for this point we stress activity from everyone. To remain an active character, the account must be logged into at least once a week, with one IC post once every three weeks. Monthly activity checks will also be held, and those members that do not reply will have their accounts deleted.

★ SPAM. Any repeated, random or pointless posts in either the IC or OOC boards is considered spam. Any post under three words – with the exception of the ‘General board and Games board – is considered spam and should be edited or deleted. Making a post that has nothing to do with the content being discussed or is invasive towards an RP thread is spam and will not be tolerated. Any and all advertising outside of the Advertising board, with inclusion of the Shout-Box is also considered spam.

CHARACTERS

★ CHARACTER PER ACCOUNT. We are a character-per-account site, meaning that for every new character you desire, a new account must be made. Due to this, a character log for each member is encouraged, to help yourself keep track of your accounts, as well as to allow other members to see what account you have.

★ SEVEN CHARACTERS PER MEMBER. Every member is allowed the primary number of seven characters per member, to ensure that you do not become overloaded with your creations. If you do desire a new character, an extra slot position can easily be purchased from our SHOP 

★ SPECIAL FEATURES. There are some character features that must be brought form our shop if desired. These are unusual traits or perhaps mutations that your character may have, and the shop should always be checked before making a character to check out if you need to purchase any of these features.

★ CLICHÉ CHARACTERS Characters that are perfect without any flaws are Mary and Gary Sues. These are a complete No, no for our site. We encourage character depth and detail from everyone when creating your characters. Characters that have a horrible sob story past where everyone died, or other dramatic histories do not always make fun or deep characters. Try to make your character as realistic as possible, and if you ever need any help feel free to PM the staff for advice or suggestions.

★ TWO WITCHES PER PERSON. Every member is allowed only two witch accounts per person for the sake of keeping the numbers down and keeping things fair for everyone. This number may be changed in the future. 

★ SIGNATURES . We ask that you have your signatures no larger than 250x450, and if you need any help with resizing, cropping or finding an image to fit in your signature, the staff would be more than happy to help.

ROLEPLAYING

★ 150 POST MINIMUM. 150 words in one post is not difficult at all, and is simply a guideline. We encourage all members to go above and beyond this, but keep in mind that bigger is not always better. A good post is detailed and interesting to read, but not always essay length.


★ NO GODMODDING OR POWERPLAYING. Controlling someone else’s character or making your character invincible or perfect is the equivalent of godmodding and powerplaying. Never control or RP another person’s character without their express permission, and make sure to keep your own character realistic in the sense where there is always the possibility where they will get hurt or lose.


★ LIQUID TIME. Liquid time is allowed on this site, meaning that you are allowed to be RPing with the same character in more than one thread at a time. However, do not take this as an opportunity to go crazy and post in 10 different threads because you are bored. Don’t stretch yourself out too thin.

★ GRAMMAR AND PUNCTUATION. We strongly support and desire proper grammar and punctuation from ever member. To this extent, chat speak is banned from all RP threads and only allowed in the OOC boards. While we know that it is not always possible to have right grammar, spelling and punctuation, we do ask that you try your best and ask for help if needed.
